Do you feel uprooted like this tree?

Robin and I were out for a morning walk and I saw this tree uprooted. I instantly liked it. It reminded me of life, and how sometimes I have felt like many of you uprooted and this particular tree fell over and was upside down in a creek.

In life or in marketing we may at some point in time feel uprooted or not sure what to do next. This is a good time to re-invent your life or your business by taking stock of your qualities, characteristics, strengths, and weaknesses. Write out a strategy which is an action plan to where you want to go. Get help if you don’t know how you can reach your destination. You can do some mind mapping, talk to other people, brain- storm or even better yet, join a Mastermind group. There are lots resources and people who are willing to help. All you have to do is to take the 1st step, by asking. Asking is probably the most difficult.

If it’s your life that you are working on, do the same because out of this is what you can put together for yourself, figure out your passions, name them and take classes that interest you. Soon you’ll move on beyond being that uprooted tree, grow new roots by one action at a time. Don’t forget to ask. Help is close by. Take the support, even if someone calls you once a week, or you meet this person/group for coffee once in a while or you get involved in your local community that you are passionate about.

Treat it as a new adventure, something to look forward to rather than treading your new re-invention. Life is actually fun, beautiful, and exciting. It’s your choice what you want to call it, or if you prefer to stay uprooted or firmly planted in the direction you want to go or be.
